NOHO NY is thrilled by the overwhelming interest in this year’s ArtWalk. To better coordinate the influx of artwork this year, we invite you to read the following information regarding participation. When you are ready to drop-off your work, please call our office at 212-677-4579 to schedule an appointment.
* This year is the 7th annual ArtWalk, which puts the work of promising artists into merchants’ storefront windows throughout the NOHO neighborhood. It is absolutely free to participate for both artists and merchants, and the BID collects no fees or commissions from this event, though donations are welcome and always appreciated. We host the event every year to help artists exhibit their work, demonstrate the neighborhood’s historical importance in the arts, as well as promote our local businesses.
* NOHO NY has established a firm MARCH 12th DEADLINE for the submission of art pieces. Exceptions may be made only for those who contact the BID directly before this deadline.
* NOHO NY is accepting ALL SIZE ARTWORK, including, but not limited to:
- Painting
- Sculpture
- Photography
- Collage
- Computer Graphics
- Mixed-media
* We highly encourage submission of large scale pieces, though all size work will be considered.
* Please bring in 3-5 art pieces for review to our office at 636 Broadway (at Bleecker Street), Suite 708. If your art is large and/or difficult to transport, please contact us with a link to where we can review the piece online.
* You do not have to be affiliated with an academic program, school or gallery to participate.
* There are absolutely no residency restrictions on participants, so artists worldwide are invited to attend our Opening Party and submit their work.
* We support artists who wish to sell their work, and the BID collects no commissions, but we do not actively promote an individual’s artwork with the intent to sell it. All sales will be conducted between the buyer and seller directly. All transactions, monetary or otherwise, are conducted at the parties’ discretion and risk.
* Please be aware that the BID reserves the right to refuse any and all artwork submitted. Due to the public nature of this event, and the BID’s responsibility to the neighborhood as a whole, we cannot accept any pieces that are controversial or confrontational.
For the dates of the event, including those of our Opening Party, please see the flyer below. We look forward to your participation!
