The NYC Department of Design and Construction will hold a PUBLIC MEETING to discuss the ongoing reconstruction of trunk water mains on and around Lafayette Street and Cooper Square. This project will affect a significant portion of the NoHo district, and the city invites everyone interested to attend. Should you have any questions about the event, please the public notice HERE.

At the meeting, we will be discussing next year’s budget, the past year’s accomplishments, and presenting awards from the neighborhood’s 6^th Annual Artwalk.

We are now accepting artworks for our 6th Annual NOHO NY ArtWalk! Please contact us for more information and specific times to drop off your works. Come be a part of this fabulous neighborhood event!

The Annual NOHO NY ArtWalk is a two week long exhibition where artworks are uniquely displayed in local businesses, restaurants and banks in the NOHO neighborhood. It is free and open to all artists, and if any artwork is sold, the profit goes directly to the artist. There are no specific requirements in regards to size, medium, or content.

** We are no longer accepting submissions for the ArtWalk, but please join us for the Opening Reception on April 16th at 6 pm at the TD Bank on Bond St. and Broadway.

NYU’s Office of Government and Community Affairs and Councilmember Alan Gerson in conjunction with the Greenwich Village-Chelsea Chamber of Commerce, are currently organizing a Small Business Assistance Forum with the goal of guiding businesses towards resources that will help them weather the economic downturn.

In order to provide the most helpful information at this event we are requesting that business owners and managers fill out a short survey. The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Please forward this questionnaire to anyone you think would offer valuable input.
