The NOHO NY Business Improvement District will be celebrating their tenth anniversary in June. We will be using the Mercer Street Park for a sculpture symposium. This project is to enhance the cultural aspect in the Community Board 2 area and to generate a larger awareness for the park.
The purpose of this First Sculpture Symposium will be to provide an outdoor working space for sculptors in an area of New York designated as an artists’ district. It is also providing a place for sculptors and artists to “work together”.
The Sculpture Symposium will take place in NOHO NY at the Mercer Street Park. It is located on Mercer Street between Bleecker and West 3rd Streets. Mercer Street Park is one block west of Broadway and two blocks north of Houston Street. Working hours will be from 9AM – 7PM daily.
Date: April 25 – May 2, 2006. Opening reception at the Commerce Bank on the 25th of April.
