Superdry, the celebrated brand from the U.K., has opened its U.S. flagship store right here in NoHo! Selling a fresh collection of women’s and men’s clothing, footwear, bags and accessories, Superdry is collecting its share of fans, including superstars like Zac Efron, Ryan Phillipe and Shakira. The style is rugged yet urbane, with a vintage look inspired by the fashion and arts scenes in Tokyo. This particular Superdry retail store is the only one in New York City, so be sure stop by and browse.

- Best Buy at 622 Broadway is offering one-hour technology workshops FREE to the general public. Workshop topics include Networking, Digital Imaging, Picture, Source and Sound, and Windows 7. - With the holiday shopping season in full swing, our retailers and restaurants can look forward to a construction-free Lafayette Street until January 2nd, according to the MTA.
- Another major city infrastructure project taking place in NoHo will also see decreased activity next month. The Department of Design and Construction has announced that they will ease up on water main installation during the holiday season. NOHO NY has posted the DDC Newsletter on the website, with updated information on street closures and water shut-downs.

The BID is seeking comments from neighborhood residents, businesses and property owners about expanding the NOHO NY BID and its community services from its current boundaries to the Bowery. The Steering Committee, made up of members of the expansion area, have prepared information relating to the expansion, including all of the services that the neighborhood can expect to receive.

DD+C has announced a Water Main Shutdown on East 4th Street between Bowery and Lafayette Street from 8:30A.M. to 4:30P.M. on Thursday December 3rd.
SEE COMMUNITY ADVISORY NOTICE FOR MORE INFORMATION.
Please be advised that the contractor MUST RESTORE WATER ACCESS before leaving the work site. If you have any questions or concerns, you may call Karen Flores (see Community Notice). The DD+C also asks that everyone turn off all water-cooled equipment and appliances during the shutdown period.
As always, the BID will continue to monitor construction activity in NoHo related to the project.

From November 20, 2009 through January 2, 2010, NoHo residents, businesses and property owners can expect limited construction activity on the water mains reconstruction project. However, DDC expects some work to continue on E. 4th Street b/n Bowery and Lafayette Street, and on Cooper Square from E. 4th Street to E. 6th Street. Please refer to the DDC Reconstruction Newsletter for other information on the project.
NOHO NY will continue to keep you posted as to the progress in the months ahead.
